Spring Shipping

We are able to ship most cold hardy plants now and are shipping cold sensitive plants as temperatures permit. Please note that we are located in Pennsylvania and temperatures here may delay shipment of cold sensitive plants. We usually ship on Mondays and Tuesdays. However, we also will be shipping some Mid-Atlantic Region orders via FedEx 2nd Day on Wednesdays for Friday delivery.

A wide variety of hardy and tropical plants for gardeners and collectors will be available for purchase, including some that are not in our catalog and are rarely available. We have had shipments of new plants from Japan and Thailand this spring that are not available online or in the catalog. There will also be reductions on our remaining stock of potted arisaemas and some other selected varieties.

We are not set up as a retail walk-in operation, so if you want to order in advance and pick up your plants, your order must be received and PAID for by Tuesday May 27 to give us time to assemble your plants. When placing your order online, please note in the comments section that you intend to pick up your plants during our Open House and if possible, which day you plan to attend. We will credit the shipping/handling charges that the website calculates but will charge 6% sales tax. We cannot pull orders during the Open House. Plants available for purchase will be set up in a sales area. Because of space limitations, the greenhouses and shade houses will not be open. We cannot accommodate pets and young children. Thank you!

One is never enough!

The base shipping & handling charge includes the shipment of 2 plant units so unless you are ordering a plant described as oversized in its description, it makes sense to order more than one! The base shipping & handling cost ships 2 average size plants, up to 4 plants considered dwarf and grown in 2 1/2" pots, and up to 8 unpotted dormant Arisaema tubers. You will also find that as you order more plants, the shipping & handling cost per plant decreases significantly. So maximize your shipping dollar and give your plant a travel buddy! Paper Catalog

Our catalog was sent out in January to customers who have ordered from the catalog or sent in payment for one in the past 2 years. While we do not send a paper catalog to all customers who have placed online orders, if you would like to receive a copy, please let us know and we'll be happy to send one your way. Reduced FedEx Shipping Rates

Good news! We have just received a discount with FedEx that makes their prices competative with the recently increased US Priority Mail rates. As a result, the shipping/handling costs are the same for either method of delivery and are still less than last year's FedEx shipping/handling charges. We plan to ship most orders by FedEx 2nd Day. We prefer to ship most orders this way because there is a guaranteed delivery date, the package is insured, and it can be tracked online at www.fedex.com. However, we still offer US Priority Mail as a secondary shipping option for those who simply prefer US Priority Mail shipping or wish to have their order shipped to a PO Box number.
