This new Japanese hybrid of E. davidii and the Japanese selection 'Yubae' is one of the most beautiful selections so far. It has dark red and yellow bicolored flowers displayed above the foliage. It is later than most epimediums to flower. This vigorous variety should be in every garden. Epimediums are among the easiest perennials to grow. They thrive in medium to heavy shade, and when established, are highly drought tolerant. They are deer resistant and are seldom bothered by voles or other critters. USDA Zone 4-9.
