This tender Arisaema is found in northern India and the Himalayas. It is interesting for the often elaborate "ears" on the flower. The plant is one to two feet tall, with one leaf with several leaflets. The flower can be orangish red, rusty red, deep purple, or green with purple blotches. It blooms very early. In colder climates this is an interesting and easy plant for the cold greenhouse or cold frame. USDA Zones 8-10.
