This very beautiful hoya is steeped in controversy. It was originally named as a species, after a Japanese man named Motosuke, so presumably it is an old Japanese selection of Hoya carnosa or something very similar (Hoya carnosa is native in the south islands of Japan). Many now consider it a form of H. carnosa. It is one of the finest hoyas for indoor use. The round oval leaves are deep green, nearly black green, with silver spots. It blooms for months on end, with beautiful red-centered white flowers. USDZ Zones 9-11.
Grown in 3.5" pots.
