Woodland wildflower from the mountains of central Japan, blooming in April or May. The leaves are divided, growing from a creeping rhizome. The showy white flowers are normally tinted pink. It will form colonies in time in well-drained, humus-rich soil, in light to moderate shade. Easy. USDA Zones 5-8.
