Hosta rectifolia is unaccountably neglected in the U.S. It is has long oval foliage that is fairly erect and very tall flower stalks, to 3 feet, in late summer. Japanese cultivars are becoming very popular in Japan. This Japanese selection has leaves broadly margined bright yellow. USDA Zones 4-9.
