I first encountered this old Japanese cultivar in Shinjuku Park in Tokyo, where it was growing in abundance. It is very large, to 3' or more, with broad leaves, sparingly but uniformly covered with tiny white spots. One of the heartiest selections and probably the largest. The name means "starry sky". USDA Zones 7b-10. Oversized: Counts as 2 plant units for shipping.
