This hybrid of the very hardy C. discolor and the tender but fragrant C. izu-insularis offers 10" spikes of deliciously fragrant flowers in white, pink, red, brown, and purple, plus bi-color combos. Evergreen foliage is attractive throughout the year. Wonderful for the garden or the cold greenhouse. If you have only one calanthe this is the one to grow. If you have consistent snow cover, these can be grown in Zones 5-6. We grow them here in Zone 6 in a sheltered corner. Blooming size virus-free plants from flasked seedlings. USDA Zones 7a-9.
3.5" pot.
