This is one of our toughest, most easily grown native asarums, with arrowhead-shaped leaves and "little brown jug" flowers. This strain, from the Chattahoochee River drainage, where it naturally forms extensive mats of patterned glossy foliage. It is very stoloniferous, quickly forming a similar mat of 2-3" long leaves in the garden. This form is our best native asarum for ground cover use in the woodland garden. USDA Zones 5-9.
Grown in 2.5" pots.
