Evergreen clump-forming species from central and southern Japan with gray-green evergreen leaves to 5" long, with cloudy silver patterns. Large tubby purple-brown flowers bloom in early spring. The name means "asarum that resembles asarum"! An essential element of the shade garden, effective when the hostas are frozen mush. USDA Zones 6-9.
Grown in 2.5" pots.
