Tall, vigorous species from East Asia, called "dancing crane" in Japanese, which it resembles in bloom. There is one leaf with many leaflets, and a green flower held above the leaf. Late bloomer. Needs rich, well-drained soil in light to medium shade. Easy. USDA Zones 5-9.
