This is a new form of the giant elephant's ear with black leaf stalks and shiny dark green to black-green leaves, depending on the amount of sunlight. It makes a striking specimen to about 8' tall, for a large pot or bedding scheme in the summer garden. Bring in to a warm sunny room or greenhouse for winter, or dry off and store warm and dry in the pot. Don't confuse this with Xanthosoma violaceum, a much less ornamental plant. USDA Zones 9-11.
Grown in 3.5" pots. Oversized: counts as 2 plants for shipping.
