Calathea musaica 'Heiroglyphics'

We found this especially heavily marked form of C. musaica in a nursery in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It looks as if some lunatic ancient Egyptian used the foliage as a copy book. Easy low to moderate light indoor plant; needs good drainage and high humidity. Grown in 3.5 inch square pots. USDA Zones 10-11.

I love this plant it is a very expressive plant and will always let me know when it needs something. The leafs are beautiful. The plant is fairly hardy. I have had mine for 5 years and have moved 4 times.
