Yes we know that this is now called D. major by some botanists but we are keeping the familiar name for now. This very strange Hoya relative has modified leaves that look like a cluster of bananas. These leaves store water and house ants in the wild; the ants get a free house and the plant gets protection from predatory insects. This tropical epiphyte can be grown in moss, orchid bark, or on bark. It also has round coin-like more normal leaves. Likes warmth, bright light, and high humidity, but should dry before watering. These are established plants with "pickles". USDA Zone 10-11.
Grown in 3.5" pots.
