Caryopteris divaricata 'Blue Butterflies'

Caryopteris divaricata 'Blue Butterflies'

The species form of this plant is a beautiful summer-blooming perennial for sun or light shade, growing to about 6 feet tall. This selection from Japan was found by Mr. Shinri Wakaiki who selected it for its rich, deep blue flowers. Needs good drainage to survive the winter in cold climates. The foliage has an unpleasant smell, so it is best to plant it at a little distance from walkways. USDA Zones 6-9.
