This Japanese native lily grows in grassy areas in the mountains. It grows 1 to 2 feet tall, with 1-5 flowers atop a slender stem, blooming in early summer. The flowers are about 2 inches across, bright orange with a little spotting. The Japanese prefer the Mt. Aso form for its flower color. Rare. USDA Zones 4-8.
