This very unusual variety has four-petaled flowers that are held above the leaves, and no spurs. The petals are spoon-shaped, pale lavender, with a purple stripe in the middle. It blooms later than most of the other Japanese varieties. The flower stalks are about 6 inches tall. Epimediums are among the easiest perennials to grow. They thrive in medium to heavy shade, and when established, are highly drought tolerant. They are deer resistant and are seldom bothered by voles or other critters. USDA Zone 4-9.
