Alocasia (Elephant Ears)
The "elephant ears" are big and bold accents that create a tropical look.
The macrorhiza varieties can grow big enough to shelter a rhinoceros, while many of the other varieties are small enough to be useful as indoor plants. The large varieties should be kept cool (not cold) and dry in the winter if you cannot keep them growing indoors.
