These hoya relatives are mostly epiphytes, growing on the branches of trees in the wild. The flowers are tiny but often very colorful. Some species have inflated leaves that shelter ants in the wild.
They enjoy warmth and fairly high humidity but are generally durable plants. They make spectacular basket specimens, and the smaller varieties can be grown in terrariums.
