Polygonatum (Solomon's Seal)

The Solomon's seals are low-key woodland perennials that are attracting a following because of their interesting texture and easy culture. Some of the variegated forms also add a note of color that is welcome in summer.

They require only decent soil and moderate shade to survive. They spread at a sedate pace, developing into beautiful colonies.
